By a memorandum of gift dated 15 February 2014, Dr Jack Wynhoven AM, DipCE Gordon, BE(Civil) Melb, MEngSc Alberta, PhD Alberta, stated his intention to donate the sum of $500,000 to the University in five annual instalments of $100,000, commencing in 2014, for the purpose of establishing 'The Jack Wynhoven Scholarship'. The first instalment of $100,000 was received on 14 March 2014. Each scholarship is awarded to students enrolled in the Master of Engineering degree who are in financial need. The scholarship was made a University regulation in 2014.
