Elizabeth Ann Crespin, late of 10 Wilks Avenue, Malvern, in the State of Victoria, who died on 2 December 1971, bequeathed to the University the sum of Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000) and further directed in her will that the sum and the investments therefrom shall constitute a fund to be used for 'establishing and maintaining a scholarship or scholarships to be awarded in manner hereinafter mentioned to graduates of the University engaged in research work in Agricultural Science under the control of the faculty of Agricultural Science of the University whether at the University or elsewhere in Australia or abroad.'
