Maude Alice Harrington Zelman, late of Hawthorn, who died on 14 August 1966 bequeathed to the University the sum of $2,000, to establish a scholarship for violin students to commemorate her late husband Alberto Zelman, a distinguished Melbourne musician who founded the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra in 1906.
