On 2 August 1966, Mr NA Myers, MB, BS, FRCS, FRACS on behalf of his family, donated two sums of $500.00 and $1,500.00 respectively. The purpose of the donations was expressed to be '...for the purpose of establishing a prize in 6th Year MB BS, the prize to be awarded in the subject of paediatric surgery...'. The fund is named in memory of the late Clara Myers who, during her life, was interested in medical education and the welfare of children.
