Summary

The late Jessie Stobo Watson Webb, formerly of South Yarra, senior lecturer in the school of History, left her residuary estate to the University to form a fund to enable the University 'to send at least every five years a student to spend a season in Greece under the direction of the British School of Archaeology at Athens or any other similar school'. A Judge of the Supreme Court of Victoria on 22 March, 1965, made an Order relating to the terms of the will. The University received the sum of £7,128 in satisfaction of the bequest.
