- Summary
Lizette Bentwitch, formerly of Majestic Mansions, Fitzroy Street, St Kilda, who died on the 27 November 1954, directed the trustee of her will to hold the residue of her estate upon trust for conversion and to divide the net proceeds into two equal parts and to pay one part to the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and the other part to the University of Melbourne, Australia. The scholarships were founded in the memory of Lizette Bentwitch's beloved parents, Maurice and Elizabeth and were to be awarded for Music or for any other branch of the Humanities as the authorities of the respective University determined.
