Regulations and Statutes UTR6.038 John Charles Lloyd Exhibition (1925 - )

In 1923, Charles D. Lloyd of 33 Queen Street Melbourne, presented £1,000 in the form of a Commonwealth Government Debenture to the University for the purpose of establishing the 'John Charles Lloyd Exhibition' in memory of his late father. In order to encourage the study of architecture at the University, 'each exhibition is to be awarded to a student enrolled in the master of Architecture'. The exhibition fund was made a University regulation in 1925.

This scholarship is linked to the Faculty of Engineering as the Faculty of Architecture was not established until 1932. Prior to this time, Architecture belonged to the Engineering Faculty.
