By his will dated 31 August 1915, the late Henry Gyles Turner bequeathed £1,000 to the University for the purpose of establishing 'The Henry Gyles Turner Scholarship' to encourage 'the scientific study of Agriculture'. The scholarship is open to applications from 'postgraduate students studying for a higher degree in agriculture'. The scholarship was made a University regulation in 1923.
