On 12 July 1916, Joseph Levi and his wife Kate Levi donated £1,000 to the University for the purpose of establishing 'The Keith Levi Prize' (also previously known as 'The Keith Levi Memorial Scholarship) in memory of their son who 'was killed in action at Cape Helles, Gallipoli on 7 August 1915.' The prize is 'awarded annually by the University on the recommendation of the dean of the faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences to the top student in the subject 'Integrated Clinical Practice'.' The prize was made a University regulation in 1918.
