The Honourable Sir Henry John Wrixon, KCMG, MA, vice‐chancellor of the University presented £600 to the University for the purpose of founding an exhibition in Agriculture, called the 'Wrixon Exhibition'. The University Council authorised 'the Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary and Agricultural Sciences to award each exhibition on behalf of the University to the student with the highest aggregate marks in an honours year in agriculture.' The exhibition fund was made a University regulation in 1906.
