The Graduate Union of the University of Melbourne Incorporated is an Association for graduates who wish to retain close links with the University of Melbourne. It offers club, dining, residential, social and educational facilities and opportunities for its members in return for a very low annual subscription, and is affiliated to the University as a uniquely postgraduate college. The Graduate Union originated as the Melbourne University Association which was established in 1911. It was affiliated with the University Union between 1938 and 1952 as the Graduates' Section of the Union. Since 1953 it has functioned as The Graduate Union. It was affiliated as a college of the University of Melbourne in 1971.
