Summary: On 11 May 2016, Elizabeth Alexander AM (Donor), formerly Chancellor of the University of Melbourne, donated $425,000 to the University for the purpose of establishing the 'Guelma Alexander Fund in Neuroscience' in memory of her mother. The fund supports 'career researchers within the Melbourne Neuroscience Institute (MNI) (or its successor)'. The fund was made a University regulation in 2018.
