Summary

By her will dated 5 June 2016, the late Catherine Mary Sullivan bequeathed $200,000 to the University, establishing 'The Catherine Mary Sullivan Bequest'. The bequest is used 'to support one or more scholarships for graduate students enrolling or enrolled in music composition at the University with a preference for female students' as recommended by the Head of Composition in the Faculty of Fine Arts and Music. The bequest was made a University regulation in 2017 and was first awarded in that same year due to an additional donation of $6,000 which was raised at a memorial appeal in 2016.
