Summary

By a memorandum of gift dated 2 December 2014, an anonymous donor agreed to donate $250,000 to the University, which would be paid 'in five equal instalments at annual intervals beginning on or before 31 December 2014.' 'The Rowing Opportunity Scholarship' is awarded 'to students who have demonstrated potential to achieve academic and sporting excellence, as determined by 'The Melbourne University Sport Foundation Rowing Opportunity Scholarship Selection Committee'. The scholarship was made a university regulation in 2015 and will first be awarded in 2020.
