Summary

By her will dated 21 April 2011, the late Jean Audrey Mackenzie bequeathed 50 per cent of her residuary estate to the University, establishing 'The Jean and Alan Mackenzie Bursaries'. Each bursary is 'open for award to students with disabilities to enhance their student experience at the University' and the recipients are 'selected by the committee overseeing student loans and grants'. Consideration is also 'given to financial need in the awarding of the bursaries'. The bursary fund was made a University regulation in 2015.
