Summary

By a memorandum of gift, Mr Mr Konfir Kabo and Ms Monica Lim donated $55,000 to the University on 1 November 2014 for the purpose of establishing the 'Asian Studies Trust' within the Faculty of Arts. The trust is used for 'the enhancement of cultural understanding of the Asian region'. The Dean of the Faculty of Arts is authorised to apply the capital and income of the trust for such purposes as 'the establishment and endowment of positions, teaching and research initiatives', 'the establishment of student scholarships and prizes and eligibility criteria' and 'the purchase of equipment and facilities'. The trust was made a University regulation in 2015.
