Summary

By a memorandum of gift dated 19 September 2013, Jennifer Duggan Leaper of East Melbourne stated her intention to give the University an amount of $200,000 in February 2014 for the purpose of establishing 'The Jennifer Duggan Leaper Scholarship'. Each scholarship is to be awarded to 'high achieving students who have completed a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Melbourne and have enrolled or are to be enrolled in the course for the degree of Master of Teaching.' The scholarship was made a University regulation in 2014 and was first awarded in that year due to an additional donation of $10,000 by the donor.
