On 13 December 2013, Dennis Michael Nassau, BA, LLB Melb, lawyer donated the sum of $305,000 to the University, establishing 'The Liselotte 'Lilo' Nassau Cello Scholarship' in memory of his late mother. Each scholarship is awarded to students enrolled in the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music who are undertaking studies in cello. The scholarship became a University regulation in 2014.
