In January 2014, former partners and colleagues of Geoff Hone donated the um of $100,000 to the University for the purpose of establishing 'The Geoff Hone Scholarship'. Each scholarship will be awarded annually to the student 'undertaking the degree of Juris Doctor (or equivalent degree) who receives the highest aggregate mark for the core subjects Constitutional Law, Contracts, Corporations Law and Trusts', or the closest equivalent subject as determined by the Dean of Melbourne Law School. The scholarship was made a University regulation in 2013.
