Summary

By his will dated 2 February 1994, the late William Alan Schuster, who died on 12 October 2009, bequeathed one quarter of his residuary estate to the University. In addition, by her will dated 23 December 2003, the late Norma Hilda Schuster, who died on 20 September 2009, bequeathed one quarter of her residuary estate to the University. Together, William Alan Schuster and Norma Hilda Schuster established 'The Arthur Lionel and Hilda Alice Swift Scholarship Fund', which supports 'The Arthur Lionel and Hilda Alice Swift Scholarship'. The scholarship is awarded to a student or students studying medicine 'for the basic medical qualification, to a student enrolled… in the graduate-level doctor of Medicine degree… or for graduate research in Medicine'. The scholarship fund was made a University regulation in 2011.
