Summary: In 2011 Professor Peter McPhee gave the sum of $200,000 to the University, in addition to a further sum of $10,000, establishing 'The Peter McPhee Student Awards'. The awards support 'student engagement activities which involve the University and the wider community, including leadership, community engagement and volunteering activities' and are granted by the chair of the Awards Selection Committee. The award fund was made a University regulation in 2011.
