By his will dated 2 April 1974 and First Codicil dated 24 January 1975, the late Vam Deo Dhar bequeathed one-fifth of his residuary estate to the University, establishing 'The Vam Deo Dhar Memorial Scholarship Fund'. Each scholarship is awarded to an international student studying agriculture who can demonstrate academic achievement, with the value and number of scholarships awarded each year being determined by the Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary and Agricultural Sciences. The fund was made a University regulation in 2010.
