Summary

The late Iona Hodgson, formerly of 66 North Road, Brighton, Victoria, who died on 24 August 2003 by her will dated 24 November 1994 provided '... TO GIVE the balance thereafter remaining to THE University OF MELBOURNE to be used by it for the purpose of a post graduate scholarship to be known as THE JOHN HODGSON SCHOLARSHIP to be awarded alternately to graduate students in the faculties of Music and Science'. In September 2007 the University received the sum of $157,332.24 in satisfaction of the bequest.
