Mrs Joyce Stewart-Hamilton of 35 Montague Street, Moonee Ponds, Victoria, who died on 27 May 2005 by her will prescribed: "I leave the residue of my estate to be invested by my Trustees and out of the income of the said trust fund to pay the annual income to the Department of Veterinary Science at the University of Melbourne and from the income to be awarded an annual scholarship to be known as the Noble Stewart-Hamilton Scholarship which shall be awarded to a promising student and deserving of assistance upon the recommendation of the Dean of the Department of Veterinary Science at the University of Melbourne.'
Details
The scholarship is named in memory of Joyce Agnes Stewart-Hamilton (nee Noble) who, during her life, was not able to realize her ambition to become a vet.
