In 2003 the faculty of Law held an appeal to graduates of the faculty to establish a fund to provide scholarships for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. The sum of $21,307.81 was raised by the appeal. In 2004 and 2005 the faculty held similar appeals to augment the fund and further sums of $42,520.00 and $43,267.08 were raised respectively. From 2008, the faculty of Law became a graduate school established as a faculty known as Melbourne Law School ('MLS'). The capital and income of the 'Melbourne Law School Scholarships Fund' are to be used to provide scholarships for students enrolled in MLS.
