- Summary
Mr. Ronald John Gleghorn, late of 9 Carson Avenue, Mont Albert, in the State of Victoria, who died on 22 October 1998, bequeathed his residuary estate to the University for the purpose of founding bursaries to be awarded to a suitable person/s carrying on research, investigation, experimentation or summarisation in the fields of Rheumatoid Arthritis and/or Varicose Veins and making awards for any such work already carried out. It was also requested that if progress in both these medical fields should remove the usefulness of the bursaries or awards, they should be made in the less well-endowed fields of medical knowledge.
