Miss Barbara Huntly Gordon, late of 33 Range Road, Olinda, in the State of Victoria, who died on 8 February 1998, bequeathed to the University two-thirds of her residuary estate "to establish a fund to be called THE BIOCHEMISTRY FUND and to apply the income of the fund for the purpose of assisting post-doctoral research and granting a post-doctoral fellowship and post-graduate scholarships in the field of Endocrinology within the Department of Biochemistry at the University of Melbourne.".
