Katherine Janeba, late of Kangaroo Ground, Warrandyte, who died on 13 March 1985, bequeathed the whole of her residuary estate to the University to endow "The Fritz Janeba Travelling Scholarship" in memory of her late husband, Professor Frederick Alois "Fritz" Janeba, a member of the University's faculty of Architecture, Planning and Building from 1949 to 1964. The University received the sum of $112,024 in satisfaction of the bequest.
