Bequest and Scholarship

Summary

Viola Edith Reid, late of Albert Park in the State of Victoria, who died on 28 November 1972, bequeathed to the University, subject to a life interest which has been extinguished, the whole of her residuary estate 'for its use in providing a scholarship or scholarships for a medical student or students at the said University'. The University received the sum of $383,675 in satisfaction of the bequest.
