His family, friends and colleagues in the University and Ormond College have responded to an appeal, launched in 1982, to establish a fund in the University for the endowment of a scholarship in memory of the life and work of the late Robin Douglas Hocking, formerly a lecturer in the faculty of Economics and Commerce and the Director of Studies in Economics in Ormond College, whose untimely death occurred on 23 February 1981. The sum of $15,148 was donated to the University.
