- Summary
Mary Taylor, late of Alexander Hotel, Spencer Street, Melbourne, who died on the 5 September 1952, bequeathed to the University of Melbourne the sum of £1,000 to be used for the provision of scholarships in French Literature and Language. The scholarships were to be for such amounts and for such periods, upon such terms and conditions, as the Council of the University should decide but before making any award the Council should take advice from the faculty of Arts in regards thereto.
