Summary: In 1951 a committee of subscribers donated £1,000 to the University for the purpose of establishing the 'Muriel Cheek Memorial Scholarship Fund'. The fund supports the 'Muriel Cheek Memorial Scholarship' which is 'awarded to a student who is pursuing the course for the degree of bachelor of Music and is specialising in vocal performance.' The fund was made a University regulation in 1951.
