Summary

An anonymous donor presented £6,000 to the University for the purpose of establishing the 'W.E.J. Craig Travelling Scholarship'. 'The scholarship is open to competition among graduates of the University qualified to pursue research in Animal Husbandry' and is awarded by the Council on the recommendation of the Postgraduate Scholarships Committee'. The scholar must also 'pursue a course of study or research relating to Animal Husbandry at an overseas university approved by the committee but preference will be given to a student undertaking such course of study or research, in whole or in part, at Queen's University, Belfast.' The scholarship was made a University regulation in 1946.
