- Summary
By his will the late Sir John Michael Higgins GCMG, bequeathed one-third of his residuary estate to the University, establishing 'The Sir John and Lady Higgins Research Scholarships'. The scholarship is awarded to higher degree by research students undertaking research in industrial chemistry and biochemistry related directly to the pastoral and agricultural industries. The fund was certified as a University trust record in 2010.
