Summary

On 26 March 2007 Council adopted the 'University 2007 Plan', which included a proposal to establish 'The Future Generations Scholarships Fund'. The University decided that all donations to the University's 2006 Annual Appeal for scholarships and the 'University's Highest Priorities' would form the initial capital for the fund, and that money received as a result of future appeals may be added to the fund from time to time. The fund commenced with $272,580.74 from 276 donors. By 2018 the fund had received donations from 3298 donors and provided 129 scholarships across all faculties of the University.

Details

This scholarship provides an annual allowance for up to 2 years for high achieving graduate coursework students. In order to qualify students must be Australian citizens. No application is required, students are automatically considered for the Award. Awardees are given an allowance of $5,000 per year for up to two years, which is paid in instalments in April and September of each year.
