Murdoch Children's Research Institute (MCRI) is the largest child health research institute in Australia. The Institute specialises in discoveries that transform child health.

The original Murdoch Institute was established in 1986 by Professor David Danks after a generous donation by Dame Elisabeth Murdoch.

MCRI researchers work across the five key areas of infection and immunity; cell biology; clinical sciences; genetics and; population health.
